St. Charles Parish Public Schools raised $114,119.16 for the United Way of St. Charles through its 2024 fundraising campaign. An overview of the school system’s campaign was presented to the school board at its meeting on January 15, 2025, where Superintendent Dr. Ken Oertling and School Board President Ray Gregson presented United Way of St. Charles Executive Director John Dias with a check on behalf of the school system’s employees and students.
Families of children who will be three or four years old on or before September 30, 2025, are eligible to apply for the St. Charles Parish Public Schools Pre-Kindergarten program.
Applications open February 3, 2025, and must be submitted by March 11, 2025, to be considered for the first round of selections. Families must complete an application and submit all required documents to be considered for eligibility.
Children who will be five years old by September 30, 2025, are eligible to enroll in Kindergarten. Families may complete the registration process online beginning February 3; however, required documentation must be submitted in person at the child’s assigned school.
For those opting for in-person registration, schools will be open to assist families from March 17 through March 21, 2025, between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
St. Charles Parish Public Schools has received new information regarding PowerSchool's ongoing response to its recent cybersecurity incident. In an update provided to affected school systems, PowerSchool shared that it has begun the process of notifying individuals whose information was involved and outlined next steps.
The St. Charles Parish School Board held its monthly meeting on January 15, 2025, at the Professional Learning Center in Luling. Agenda items included resolutions/proclamations, student and employee recognition, flood and property insurance brokerage, request for/approval of proposals, a bid, personnel, revisions to a policy, and a contract renewal.
