SCPPS Conducts Districtwide School Safety Training

St. Charles Parish Public Schools, in partnership with local emergency response agencies, conducted a districtwide school safety training exercise at all school campuses on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.

All schools participated in the coordinated drill, which focused on evaluating school personnel response to established safety protocols. During the exercise, campuses went into lockdown as employees implemented procedures used during emergency situations. Students were not on campus during the exercise, as the training was conducted on a district Professional Learning Day, when employees report to work and students do not attend school.
